  • Saturday March 16th, 10:00 a.m. So this is new…waxed Amaryllis for Spring!  In Spring coloured wax (pink, mauve, yellow) the pre-sprouted stem will open to a white or pink blooming Amarylis, usually within the month of being exposed to light and warmth.  What a joy to watch Amaryllis blooms open in the Spring-time! The container for this design will be a 8” wicker “nest” and will include three foliage or blooming plants, along with your choice of high-value, pre-sprouted waxed Amaryllis.  Decorative mosses (to nestle the waxed Amaryllis), pussy willows and curly willow and a cute bird will complete the project.  This will be a beautiful, long-lasting arrangement for your kitchen island or table.
  • “Some Bunny Loves You” Workshop Saturday March 23, 10:00 a.m. The unique wooden and metal planter from the “Woven Wonder Workshop” comes in a set of two – while the larger is this afternoon’s workshop, let’s use the smaller size (overall height 13”) to create a beautiful tabletop planter for Spring in the morning session! In the reclaimed wood, square planter,  participants will plant a selection of Spring bloomers such as primula, ranunculus, pre-sprouted bulbs, green houseplants, begonias, calandivia and more.  As a finished product, the wooden planter will be mounted on the black metal stand, and your arrangement will be full and lush, accented with decorative mosses, pussy willows plus a whimsical rabbit face (stone, metal  or wood, TBD) peeking out from amid the foliage.
  • NEW SPRING WORKSHOP!  “Peach Fuzz Fusion” Saturday March 09, 1:00 p.m. Peach is the “Colour of the Year” for 2024 and we’ll fuse together various shades of it in this unique and on-trend planting project.  A gorgeous ceramic 9” oval dish will be the container to add five beautiful plants.  Each participant will choose their 4-5 favourite fillers from a selection including pre-sprouted hyacinths, tulips, daffodils and muscari along with polkadots, ivy and fresh green ferns.  The feature plant will be a choice of a pure white Anthurium or peachy-toned “Quito” Peperomia.  Mosses, sticks, pussy willows and accents will be offered to complete the planter.  As always, care, advice and education will be discussed as the group works alongside your host, Vikki and the Design Team.

  • Clean and Green Workshop Saturday March 16, 1:00 p.m Hands-up if you love green and white! Participants will choose either a crisp white glass bowl or a moody forest green glass bowl as the container for this new hands-on workshop. Both colour choices are the same generous size: 10” round. Once filled with clean potting mix, a beautiful, white double stem orchid will be placed as the focal point. Surrounding it will be your choice of 6-7 plants including: white calandivia, fluffy ferns, spider plants, white polk-a-dots, peace lilies, ivy and other fresh, green or neutral colour blooming plants. Design techniques and long-term care will be discussed while your instructors guide you in this small group workshop.
